Hello!
The
New Theatre promises you
a brilliant display of comedy, gossip, and music this November. We rocket off with
Victor Spinetti
and his all-star secrets followed by a swirling catherine
wheel of emotions and
secrets in Frank Vickery's slick comedy
Erogenous Zones.
Passions explode in the spectacular musical
EVITA
for two weeks
before we round off the month
with a sparkling adventure from the Cardiff Gang Show in
Land of the Lost.
All this and an EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL OFFER just for you! |
|
Forget
the celeb mags which clutter up the supermarket shelves with their tales of
Z-list soap stars, for the real juice we turn to legendary Welsh comic and raconteur
Victor Spinetti.
For one night only on Sunday 2 November hear tales of his life hobnobbing
with such famous faces as The Beatles, Elizabeth Taylor,
Marlene Dietrich, Peter Sellers, Sean Connery and
many more. Ready to share his hilarious anecdotes and backstage
gossip, this award winning screen and theatre star is touring this wonderful
show for the very last time. Catch him while you can! |
|
|
The
week continues with Frank Vickery's slick comedy,
Erogenous Zones
starring Ian Watkins (H from Steps). Forget love triangles, this is a love
pentagon! Five people become entangled in each other's lives with amusing and heartfelt consequences.
Best described as 'Cold Feet set in Cardiff', it's full of both Frank's
trademark Welsh humour and his ear for authentic Welsh dialogue.
Erogenous
Zones opens 4 November and is suitable for ages 16+ years.

Passionate,
charismatic and ambitious, Eva Peron was one of the most revered yet controversial
figures of the twentieth century. Her life story
inspired Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to pen what is
arguably their masterpiece,
EVITA.
With classic songs such as Don't
Cry For Me Argentina, You Must Love Me and Another Suitcase in
Another Hall the musical was acclaimed worldwide and even picked up an
Oscar some 20 years after it was written! |
|
In
one
of the most of coveted theatrical roles of all, Louise Dearman has received
great notices for her performance with the Sunday Express'
five star review saying she "offers the best sung Eva since Elaine Paige". Co-starring
with Louise is Seamus Cullen, a former Any Dream Will Do
contender, hand-picked by Director Bill Kenwright to play Ché Guevara,
the narrator of Eva's story. Tickets have
been selling strongly since they went on sale back in May, but some good
seats remain - if you're quick! So book now to
avoid disappointment. Catch the first performances of
EVITA
at the New for over a decade from 10 - 22 November. |

Chitty Bang Bang alongside traditional Gang Show favourites this pre-Christmas
family treat opens 26
November. |
